The day after the wedding, my dad and I talked about how he had never seen so many cameras at a wedding before. This is, in part, because I’m friends with a whole bunch of photojournalists but I also had a mini-photog in my cousin Alexis and saw a bunch of other crafty point-and-shooters at work as well.

Barry said something like, “Too bad we can’t get everyone’s pictures.” But I know my way around the internetz, people, and I know we CAN get everyone’s pictures together, all in one place for everyone to see.

I’ve created a Flickr group specifically for sharing pictures from the wedding. They don’t have to be pictures of me and Bryan — they can be of anyone or anything at the wedding. The cupcakes, the sunset over the golf course, the smokers standing out in the parking lot talking and laughing… anything goes. You can even upload videos!

You don’t have to be a super talented photo whiz to share what you’ve got. The idea is just to get all the pictures in one place for everyone to see. Maybe someone took a really good picture of YOU, kind reader, and it ends up in the Flickr group! So make sure you return the favor and share your pictures of everyone else.

If you don’t already have a Flickr account or Yahoo! ID, you’ll need to create one but it’s pretty simple from there. Once you’re on, join the group and, as you upload your wedding photos, send them to the group. This group is public, so even if you don’t have anything to share you can still see what everyone else is posting.

Isn’t it fun to connect with each other?
